CREATEK is no longer updated
We first set out to create and expand CREATEK on our terms, working on it when time allowed, with the intent to slowly but steadily release new products and improvements.
Three weeks after we launched CREATEK, the world welcomed Gridfinity. Gridfinity was launched with far more pieces readily available, and we quickly decided it was not worthwhile to try to compete with such a stellar product. We decided it was best to instead put our energy into other 3D printing and Autodesk Fusion projects.
All CREATEK files remain publicly available for free and can be downloaded from the links below.
If you’re looking for additional files, please go support Gridfinity on Thangs 🙂
We set out to make a 3D printable product line. Something consumers can download and print at home. We’re starting with a small series of universal storage boxes. Simple, stackable, and designed for FFF 3D printing.
Today, we invite you to test our MLP (minimum lovable product). Consider this version one. We understand this version is not the most innovative, but we believe in starting small and iterating fast.
Happy Printing!

CREATEK Storage Box Features
Stackable
All of our storage boxes stack, including a combination of smaller sizes that nest on a larger one.
Reinforced Corners
Our unique design includes reinforced corners, providing extra-durable 3D prints – less warping.
Optimized for FFF
All of our designs consider FFF 3D printing, including orientation, durability, and printing speed.
No Supports or Raft
All of our designs are optimized to print without supports or rafts. Yes, we despise them too!
Part Numbers
Each design includes a part number, making it easier to keep track of your prints and print more.
50mm Grid Sizing
Our sizes scale with a 50mm grid, making it easy to utilize a combination that suits your needs.

CREATEK Naming Convention
Each model includes a letter and a series of three numbers. The letter represents the model type outlined below (more to be added in the future). The numbers represent the X, Y, and Z dimensions (in order) in increments of 50mm. For example, S-331 is our Standard box with a 150mm length (3x50mm), 150mm width (3x50mm), and 50mm height (1x50mm).
S = Standard
G = Grid

The CREATEK line will print well in most PLA and ABS filaments. We do not currently test other filament types at this time. For the best printing results, follow our recommended print settings outlined above.
For all test prints and pictures, we’ve used the following eSun PLA Pro* filament:

Hi
Gadget (Garry) here from Bolton United Kingdom.
I’m a huge fan of your web/YouTube channel and my go to source of information taught me a lot thank you for all your help and advice very much appreciated.
Looking forward to the 3D printable product line, I have question are we allowed to alter small changes to the design to suit.
Cheers Gadget
Kevin Kennedy
Hi Garry,
Thanks for your support!
Yes, feel free to alter the STL files as you please. All that we ask is that you don’t sell the files.
Cheers,
Kevin

I have 3D printed one S-111 now. I like it EXCEPT for the name embedded in the bottom. My personal preference would be to have this flat and smooth.
Is there a file for the grid pattern to test fit then?
Kevin Kennedy
Hi Nic,
Thanks for your feedback! Appreciate it.
We’re going to be releasing the grid pattern soon (hopefully, next week).
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Nic,
It took a bit longer than anticipated, but the grid system is now available – https://thangs.com/designer/file/3d-model/57618
Kody
Great Product! I would recommend for consideration a way to horizontally connect devices. Perhaps a dovetail locking key enabling small and large pieces to be connected together (horizontally and vertically) creating the best of both worlds.
Kevin Kennedy
Thanks for your feedback, Kody! Love it. We’re working on a grid at the moment, which may solve your ask…but we’ll also consider tabbing as well.
Cheers,
Kevin
Rob
It seems that some of the STLs are missing on Thangs.
Kevin Kennedy
Hi Rob,
Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
Could you kindly let me know which ones are missing on your end? When I check, I can see them all but that leads me to believe it is a permissions or public access issue.
Cheers,
Kevin
