Congrats to aadhav.prabu for taking home the grand prize with the submission of the Custom Iron Man Helmet. The helmet, which features a moveable hinge, was designed in Fusino 360 around a custom face scan to ensure it fits.
2nd Place: $50 Amazon gift card – Best Beginner Design
Congrats to NoahMillerDesign for taking home one of the $50 Amazon gift cards with the submission of the Halloween Coaster Set. Each coaster has a unique Halloween themed design with a standard overall shape that fits in the custom holder.
3rd Place: $50 Amazon gift card – Most downloaded on Thangs
Congrats to dsk001 for taking home one of the $50 Amazon gift cards with the submission of the Peanut Butter Cup (PBC) Dream Blaster. The PBC launcher can launch your favorite peanut butter cups and was featured by the 3D Printing Nerd on YouTube.

Congrats to Michal Fristik for taking home one of the Thangs T-Shirts with the submission of the Scary Hand Model. A detailed and realistic looking cut off hand which makes for a great decoration item.

Congrats to Maxaye for taking home one of the Thangs T-Shirts with the submission of the M3D Jack-O-Lantern. The Jack-O-Lantern design has interchangeable faces that can be swapped out.

How to Participate (3 Steps)
- Design and 3D model a part of your Halloween costume or a Halloween themed accessory or 3D printable object. See the considerations and starter ideas below.
Note: You can use the CAD software of your choice. It does not have to be Fusion 360.
- Upload your model (STL or STEP) to Thangs.com by November 7th, 2020.
Creating an account is 100% free.Thangs.com is similar to Thingiverse, except that it indexes and relates models based on their geometry. Itβs like if Thingiverse and Google had a baby β oh, and unlike Thingiverse, it actually loads
- Fill out the required Title and Description – include the hashtag #pdo in the description (required so Kevin can find the submissions!).
Increase your chances of winning – upload as many submissions as you’d like!

All of the winners will be announced on this page. Winners will be contacted by their Thangs account email and will need to provide a valid shipping address within 14 days of the announcement.

Don’t already have an idea in mind? Start with one of the following ideas and make it your own – personalize it with your name, make it a unique shape or size, or modify a design for better 3D printing.
Beginner:

FAQs
Who is the challenge for?
The challenge is open to everyone with access to 3D modeling software – it doesn’t have to be Fusion 360. You are welcome to share the challenge with your School, Makerspace, or other organization. Make it a friendly competition and challenge your friend!
Where can I ask for help?
Join the PDO community on Discord and use the #3d_modeling_challenge channel. Ask your questions, share progress, bounce ideas around, or simply stop by and say hello!
Does it cost anything to enter?
Nope! You can use any free modeling software. Solutions are uploaded to Thangs.com, which is also completely free. No payment is required to be eligible to win the 3D printer or other prizes.
Where do I submit my design?
All submissions should be uploaded to folder on Thangs.com. Follow the step by step instructions above. This is required so Kevin can see all the submissions.
How much time do I need to allocate for the challenge?
Spend 15 minutes or several hours – This is up to you! You can submit one small project, multiple projects, or one time-intensive project.
Are there prizes to be won?
Yes! There are 5 prizes. 1 grand prize winner will get an Ender 3 Pro 3D Printer. Second and 3rd place will get a $50 Amazon gift card. Fourth and Fifth place will get a Thangs T-shirt.
The winners will be required to provide a valid email and/or shipping address within 14 days of the announcement on November 7th, 2020.
Do I need a 3D printer?
You’re encouraged to print out your design if it helps you improve it, but it does NOT have to be 3D printed. Make iterations on your initial design(s) after testing them out – then upload additional submissions!
