Skillshare Course Access
The courses are hosted through Skillshare.com, which is an online course hosting platform. I have them on there because I’m not able to handle the bandwidth of video/traffic on my site at this time.
To access the courses on Skillshare you would normally need to pay for a monthly membership, but because you’re a Patron (Expert tier only), I’m providing you with free access links (that don’t require a credit card on Skillshare). The free access links will give you access to the courses, but you will still need to create a free Skillshare account to view them so it can keep track of your progress. Your account will also allow you to post on the discussion forum.
1) Click one of the Skillshare course links
(links located in the Patreon direct message).
2) Click the green “Sign Up” button in the upper-righthand corner
3) Create your free Skillshare account
(Sign up with Facebook, Gmail, or Using Email and name)
4) Select the Continue button
5) You’ll then see the course. The videos on the right should no longer show a “lock” icon.
(as seen in the image of the second step, as long as you access it via the free access link that I provided)
6) Once you click on the other links you will immediately see access to the course
There should be no “lock” icons (as long as you’re signed in) as seen above in the first image.
Discussion Forum
On Skillshare, you can click the “community” tab underneath the video player (see image below). This is the discussion or community forum, where you can ask questions
Between YouTube, Skillshare, and email, I get about 50-100 questions and comments a day. I always respond to the Skillshare forum posts first, so this is the best place to ask questions if you’re looking for the quickest response.
