The following list includes some of my favorite products that I use while 3d-modeling in Fusion 360. I only add resources to this list that I personally use, or have used at some time in the past. These are all products that I highly recommend to friends, students, and colleagues. Please enjoy!
3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator 3D Mouse
This is one of those product purchases that's hard to swallow…but if you're serious about CAD it becomes a product that makes you wonder what you ever did without it. This is considered a "left-hand" mouse, to be used in addition to your regular mouse. It allows you to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate 3D models
Neiko 01407A Electronic Digital Caliper Stainless Steel Body
The most useful product when reverse-engineering products. This isn’t the best caliper out there…but it’s the best bang for your buck. I’ve had this caliper for 6 years and its still going strong. I’ve only had to replace the (cheap “watch”) battery once.
3Dconnexion Mouse for CAD Professionals Windows/PC (3DX-700052)
This mouse was built for CAD users. Whether you’re an experienced CAD user, or just getting started, you’ll find this mouse to be extra handy. With extra programmable buttons and a special middle mouse wheel, you’ll find yourself never using a trackpad or regular mouse again.
Cyxus Blue Light Filter Computer Glasses for Blocking UV Light
If you’re like me and you sit in front of a computer for 8-12 hours a day, then you’ll want to give these a try. You won’t believe it until you see it (pun intended). I didn’t believe the hype of UV blocking glasses until I got myself a pair. My eyes have never been so relaxed at the end of a long day of staring at the screen… which means I no longer get screen headaches or eye strain, causing me to rub my eyes at night.
Sony XB950B1 Extra Bass Wireless Headphones with App Control, Black
You’ll notice a consistent thing in the products I recommend – I like quality stuff! I’m happy to say that I finally found a pair of over the hear headphones that I like and that actually last. This is the only affordable pair of headphones that I’ve had last over a year, and there are no signs of them getting worn down. I love that I can use them as wireless headphones or plug in a cable if the battery isn’t charged.

I’m not going to tell you this is the best consumer 3D printer out there – because it probably isn’t. However, after getting this 6 years ago, I can proudly say that it’s been a workhorse for me. With about 14,000 hours of print time, the machine is still going strong. Ultimately, I only recommend this product because I haven’t had any major trouble with it. If you’re in the market for a 3D printer, do your research and find the brand and model that’s best for you.
Innofil3D PLA Plus Filament, Natural White
I won a box full of Innofil3D filament in a design contest. I can honestly say, with its higher price point I may have never ventured off and tried it otherwise. Now, I purchase and use this brand of the filament when I have important prototypes to make – especially with working parts. (Otherwise, I use Hatchbox filament).
HATCHBOX PLA 3D Printer Filament, 1.75 mm, Black
By far the most affordable and reliable 3D printer filament to take the market (for consumer level printers). I’m not even going to say more…simply read its thousands of reviews.
Arteza 12" Triangular Architect Scale Aluminum Color-Coded Grooves (Imperial)
The perfect engineering ruler for those reverse-engineering projects. This one features 3 sides with 6 different scales and high grade anodized aluminum, so it will last longer and take the abuse those cheap plastic rulers won't.
