Autodesk historically does a brand refresh every 4 to 5 years. This brand refresh includes updating its official logo and other brand guidance – colors, language, typography, and more.
On September 7th of 2021, Autodesk announced a new look and feel, including a new logo, colors, and imagery for the parent company.
Dynamic, modern, and memorable, the new Autodesk logo represents action, momentum, and a clear direction toward the future. It’s a strong, simple logo that illustrates a brand synonymous with doing.”

This initial brand announcement in late 2021 did not include any changes to the 90+ software programs that Autodesk owns and operates.
Autodesk Revamps Logos for Entire Product Line 2022
In April 2022, Autodesk quietly started rolling out new product logos and imagery for each of its software programs.
This was first noticed on the official product page of the Autodesk website.
The new logos are very simple compared to their predecessors. One may argue that they no longer represent the 3D nature of the software tools. However, Autodesk is pushing for a simpler and modern look that can scale to various customer touchpoints.
Shortly after, the new logos started appearing on social media and other channels where the products are marketed.
New Fusion 360 Logo 2022
When you re-launch Fusion 360 with the April 2022 update, you’ll find it includes a brand new Fusion 360 logo. The Fusion 360 team has also updated the splash and startup screens.
The previous Fusion 360 logo, which was introduced in late 2016, includes a 3-dimensional letter “F” with unique curvature and geometry. Before that, Fusion 360’s logo included an ‘origami-like’ letter “F.”
The new Fusion 360 logo is simply a sans-serif “F” placed on an orange background.
The background shape and ‘fold’ are standard across all Autodesk products and include a unique color for each product line.
The good news is that these logo and branding updates do not affect the product itself. Fusion 360’s product offering and the four Fusion 360 licenses are not changing at all.
Each Fusion 360 user will see a new startup screen that includes the new Fusion 360 logo. This replaces the previous logo that was introduced in 2016.
Don’t be alarmed if you see the old logo across Autodesk experiences. It will likely take several months to get the logos updated everywhere.
However, you will find the Autodesk brand team was quick to update the official Fusion 360 forum and other major customer experiences with the new logo.
What are your thoughts on the new Fusion 360 logo?
