Participation
To participate all you have to do is pick one or more of the challenges below and begin modeling. Then, share your solution in the Fusion 360 Hobbyists (with Kevin Kennedy) Facebook Group.
Challenge Overview
The loftCreates a transitional shape between two or more sketch profiles or planar faces. Select a series of profiles or planar faces to define a shape. Optionally select rails or a centerline to guide the shape. tool is an essential component of every CAD program. Practice the loft command by designing and “lofting” your very own lighting design. The light fixture could be a pendant light, lamp, track light, etc.
Challenge A (Beginner)
The beginner challenge is meant for people with less than 6 months of Fusion 360 experience. If you’re one of them, reproduce this drawing as best as you can using the loft command.
Challenge B (Moderate)
Create your own unique light fixture design. The light fixture could be a pendant light, lamp, track light, etc. The only requirement is that you use the loft tool to create the main body of the light.
Challenge C (Advanced)
Create your own unique light fixture design. The light fixture could be a pendant light, lamp, track light, etc. You must use the loft tool to create the main body of the light.
Then, create a realistic product render of the light that could be used for marketing purposes (magazine ad, digital ad, etc).
