UPDATE: I am no longer creating new weekly challenges due to low participation and very little time on my end to promote and create additional assets. I’m considering making it a monthly challenge. If you’re interested then please comment on this post to let me know.
Every Monday I release a new Fusion 360 challenge that is aimed at helping the community improve their 3D-modeling skills. This weekly challenge also serves

Hey Kevin, I’m sorry that this is no longer going on weekly. Your online product design series is great and I’ve taught an 11yr old Fusion 360 using your videos as HW assignments. If you pick the weekly challenge back up for the next 8 weeks we’ll definitely participate each time!
Anyways, thanks for the awesome videos!

Hi Lev,
Thanks for your support! I hadn’t thought about the potential of more people participating due to the recent/current events. Let me look into some things… perhaps a more simple version of the weekly challenge would be feasible.
Cheers,
Kevin

Understandable. Let me know if you could use an extra mind brainstorming the challenges.

Just starting out with this app for woodworking projects. Like the idea of getting a challenge and then seeing your recommended solution. Completely understand the difficulty of posting weekly. Keep up the good work!!

Hi Jason,
Glad to hear you’re getting started with Fusion 360 – it’s great for woodworking projects!
I’ve considered restarting the challenge while doing it in a different way. Perhaps a bi-weekly or monthly challenge. The biggest issue seemed to be that people didn’t have enough time to complete each one and then they had fallen behind/number of people slowly dropped off.
Cheers,
Kevin

Yes, I am currently a fresher at college studying mechanical engineering and weekly challenges could prove very effective for me. I would gladly help with increased participation if that can revive this page

Hi Aditya,
Thanks for your feedback! I have been considering restarting them; however, they take quite a bit of time and energy to run and it can be a challenge (on my end) to keep up.
In the meantime, feel free to try out any of the previous prompts. There are some fun ideas in there 🙂
Cheers,
Kevin

I only discovered this today, however I think these projects are really good for people to practice and build skills with. As a 3rd year engineering student I would love to see these continue on a monthly basis as I would really love to take part in these challenges and improve my skills within Fusion 360 but also get into better grips with certain sections such as the soft body modelling section.

Hi Reddwan,
Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, the participation dropped a lot after a handful of these competitions. I am considering doing a bit different challenges that are more specific – in other words, I provide a guide or prompt and then a follow up video showing the ‘best’ way to do it. A little less freeform tan these challenges.
Either way, keep up with the practice. You’re on the right track!
Cheers!
Kevin
